Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Ed Coppinger, and I am running for State Representative for the 10th Suffolk District (including all of West Roxbury and parts of both Brookline and Roslindale).
I am married to Donna (Harrington) Coppinger, and we are raising our four daughters, Emma, Ava, Maggie, and Maeve, in West Roxbury. Our youngest daughter, Maeve, was born in January of this year.
I am a lifelong resident of the district and have always been active in the community. I have coached over a dozen sports teams in Parkway Soccer, Parkway Girls Softball, Parkway Little League, and basketball at the Roche Community Center. I serve on the board of West Roxbury Main Streets, and I have volunteered for numerous other community-based organizations over the years.
By trade, I am a residential mortgage loan officer. I have helped hundreds of families in the community obtain financing for the purchase of their homes. It gives me great pride to be able to help people with the biggest purchase of their lives.
In March of 2008, I co-created the website, ParkwayBoston.com. A fellow West Roxbury resident and I saw the need to develop a comprehensive, one-stop location for all goings on in the neighborhood. We host sign-up information and downloadable applications for neighborhood sports teams, maintain a calendar of events for all things Parkway, promote local businesses, and post press releases and news updates to keep residents aware of what is going on in their community.
I am a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School and have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Bryant University.
I am running for State Representative because our district needs strong representation on Beacon Hill as we look to grow our economy, create jobs, improve our schools, and bring our community together. As a husband, father, homeowner, and lifelong resident of the district, I understand these challenges and will be that voice for West Roxbury, Brookline, and Roslindale.
